Who We Are

The Wild Ones began as an idea for a master’s thesis, but grew into an independent venture taken on by the editors. As a magazine, our goal is to provide an outlet for and showcase LGBTQIA voices through their works and passions.

The Wild Ones Queer Lit Rag

The Wild Ones plans to publish a quarterly literary magazine, with their first issue appearing in late December 2014 or early January 2015. We hope to publish 4 – 5 short stories, 15- 20 pages of poetry, and 2 – 3 non-fiction pieces in our inaugural issue. The Wild Ones will be available for purchase as a PDF download either with a yearly subscription or as individual issues (current and back issues). We will also publish free monthly web content: short fiction, non-fiction, poetry, comics, and other creative content. Our blog is the place for interviews, lists, articles (submitted and repeating features) about queer writing, queer books, writing and reading while queer, and other cool stuff.

With the official launch of our website, we are now accepting submissions for fiction, creative non-fiction, and poetry for The Wild One quarterly magazine, monthly web content, and here on our blog. For more information on submissions, visit the guidelines and submissions pages on our main website. Don’t have anything to submit but want to support us? Click on the subscribe page to find out how to donate and get some swag in the process.

Social Media Guru Needed

We’re also looking for social media gurus to moderate our Facebook, Twitter, and tumblr pages. If you’re interested, contact us through our contact page or email us at with your name, a link to your site, and a short cover letter describing some about yourself and your interest in joining us.

We look forward to hearing from you!
